Why the Sunni Man Didn't Vote?

It's hard to believe that anyone in Iraq would not vote or attempt to vote in the first election. This is the future of your country. And it just makes sense you know...If I want to have a good government, I should vote or else I will most likely get stuck with people running my country that I don't like. I mean, even Sunnis would vote just so they could make sure they don't get neglected. Right? Wrong. But it's not like Sunnis were boycotting. Some were but let's not let the Right-Wing Alliance pound the living shit out of this.

Like most of what happens, when the U.S. is involved now in elections, things don't go right. The Iraqi interim president is saying people ran out of ballots and that includes people in the Sunni Arab areas. The people that were expected to not vote wanted to vote. The Sunnis from Mosul are the ones who are saying all of this happened. One reason for not enough ballots was the fact that security looked like it would be an issue so a limited amount of ballots were at the polling station. This makes no sense to me since the entire country of Iraq was under a security threat. So it looks like before government even gets started, we see factions getting the short end of the stick.

Welcome to democracy Iraq!

This Day: In Democrats

As part of keeping tabs on Democrats, let's look at some prominent Democrats to see what they are up to.

Sen. Hillary Clinton- She showed up in Buffalo and told people she had recovered almost totally from her dramatic experience yesterday when she fainted from a stomach 'bug'.

"It was just one of these 24-hour `bang' events where you just get really, really sick... I feel good but I have a little bit of a residue," said Clinton.

Residue?...? Residue is left after a combustion. What kind of stomach do you have?

Howard Dean- If we can't win the presidency, we can hold our own election. Only this one is entirely partisan. It looks like the Democratic chairman will be Howard Dean. Three people left the race and one of them is expected to endorse Dean.

This Day: In Republicans

As part of keeping tabs on Republicans, let's check out something going on in the "Sweet Home" of Alabama.

Right now, in Montgomery, Alabama, it looks like Republicans are getting pissed off with Democrats. Why would that be? It's because they think Democrats are stealing their agenda. I'll be the first to say, whatever your agenda was, it probably was awful. The Republicans point to a gay marriage ban that Democrats are apparently backing now. The wonderful thing about the gay marriage issue is that politicians come out of the closet and go into the closet just as they please. One day they are for it, the next--ahh, well you know whatever we feel like. Nobody has a clue how to handle it. When they heard people were making love for other reasons than procreation, they jumped back aghast because they could not believe what was happening. But laying the gay marriage issue aside, let's think about the stupidity behind this petty complaint. The Democrats are siding with you Republicans!!!! They are making things easier for you to get what you want. You don't attack people for making your life easier. Just goes to show you that some politicians are just politicians to be dirty. All they want is to make others look bad and when they can't, they are disappointed.
