Ridiculous

A kid in a Washington state school was sent home for wearing a shirt that said "Too Gay To Function. The line is from Mean Girls, which was a hit in 2004. He wore it on Make-Your-Own-Shirt Day which was part of the school's week leading up to homecoming. I would say this was discrimination but there's one thing. The school knows that he is openly gay. He even said, "Why would I discriminate against myself?" Tolerance is a virtue. Some intolerant person at the school needs to lighten up because it's not like he was doing anything wrong. For me, unless it's talking about having sex or displaying profanity, I see no reason to make the kid take it off.
