What If We Don't Like Who Wins?...

Well then guess what. We have to use diplomacy to work with the new prime minister no matter what. If the first prime minister of Iraq is not what we had in mind, we cannot or should not fight to change it. We promised the Iraqi people a democracy not a puppet government. That means we cannot control it.

The prime minister leading right now wants to make sure that American forces are out "as soon as possible". The people of Iraq know we are attracting terrorists filled with hatred for us. I don't blame them for wanting us out of there. Occupation was never what they had in mind. Here's a quote from the Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq:

We regard these forces to have committed many mistakes in the handling of various issues, the first and foremost being that of security, which in turn has contributed to the massacres, crimes and calamities that have taken place in Iraq against the Iraqis.

The bottom line is that Iraq wants to secure itself without the help of the United States. I do not think Iraq could secure itself with us there anyway. Our troops are a magnet for hatred.

There is a possibility that Syria or Iran will play a role in helping Iraq get on its feet. We have to allow that even if we consider those countries to be "enemies". There will be violence following the democratic elections because the elections are a change that the terrorists hate. The U.S. cannot defend the Iraqi people but must allow Iraqi police forces to handle the violence. Iraqis will die but if they do not become self-sufficient, they will not last as a country. We should take the role of being a monitor of the events that play out. If things get bad, than we ask if they want further assistance. The United States must trust in the fact that the Iraqi people can and will run the country.

Credibility

In many cases, what's being said may be right but yet the issue is credibility. How much weight does this person hold in politics?

Now for example, my political mind would be easily outweighed by a writer for a newspaper because he has more experience in politics. A newspaper writer would be outweighed by a a senator or congressman. And the people with the biggest credibility would come from the federal level. I have not covered news reporters/media personnel and loads of writers and actors/actresses/musicians that occasionally share their political mind with us. This is because they have just as much credibility as you do and people only listen to them because of their name recognition in most cases. It sounds good to say that Mel Gibson does not and has not received a good reason to be at war in Iraq, but it doesn't mean a thing to most people cause his opinion won't affect anything.

Credibility runs into a roadblock when people start saying stuff that fall in line with Conservatives and/or Liberals. Those people will be pinned down as being Liberal or Conservative. I don't think one person can think all Liberal or all Conservative. But you can side with the group you like most like the losers or the winners (which is how it is right now).

Now let's say the New York Times publishes an article that should be read. Conservatives can point out the liberal bias and ignore it. Now if FOX News reports something that you should pay attention to, than Democrats can say it's a Conservative network. Conservatives can ignore Hollywood and much of the media because they pin it down as being liberal, when in fact many came out during 2004 to state they were in Hollywood and weren't liberal. But remember, it's only when Hollywood people come together that they have any weight (like with the Tsunami Aid benefit).

The point of this lengthy talk is to convey the idea that it shouldn't be who is saying it but what is being said. I know with the articles I read or the reports I hear that I like to read around. I check a lot of sources before I accept that Bush lied or Kerry lost. Don't bypass the thinking of Barbara Boxer or Rick Santorum without thinking things out. They may be far to the left or far to the right, but if what they say makes sense, it should be kept in mind and not taken lightly.

Core of the Hysteria

As I kick off this site, I like to look at what it is that makes up the hysteria. The hysteria comes from the two parties. It does not take a genius to figure that one out but it is good to keep it all in mind. Right now, the country has locked up and can go nowhere on a federal level.

The Democrats lost the election. That is what we need to not forget. And so like most of the past years, we get constant whining from weaklings that can't stand up to Republicans. We also get people like McAuliffe who claim that Bush better watch out cause the Dems will work with you, Mr. Bush, but won't compromise on stuff and you know they state all the important issues of the time that we would like to see a compromise on. And how long will the Democrats fight before they win? Forever. They will fight forever. Democrats let arrogrant fools like Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and the cast of Fox News walk all over them. Instead of using their so-called "liberal" media to promote their party, they like to draw attention to and attack Bush. This is not popular with America and really causes problems. For future reference, don't say you are pro-life if you want to win an election.

The Republicans own you and they basically can do whatever they want. Ethics and principles of government no longer matter. Right and wrong don't exist because there is only right and Right when it comes to Repubs. Mistakes don't happen either. That is why people like Rice, Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Bush can't talk about it. The people that want to talk about mistakes have resigned and will be writing books that come out after Bush's second term is over. They will tell us all that we shouldn't have let him govern for 4 years. It's just our luck that social security, our environment, our economy, and our image will be scarred. The Dems will try to stop the Repubs but when the Dems fight, the Republicans get irritated for having to work for what they want and are mad that they can't pay off the Dems and get them to do what they want like they normally do. Corporations also keep this party afoot and keep laws for protecting corporations popping out. The Republicans also have members who feel their political stance will be improved by stereotyping Spongebob Squarepants as a homosexual. While we are fighting in a holy war in Iraq, these religious members are consumed by cartoons.

Everything said when you think of it makes little sense when you think about it. But if you follow politics, you know the points are not far from the truth. The truth is we are all in for a ride filled with hysteria for the next few years.
