All Men Have an Achilles' Heel

Everyone has an Achilles' Heel or a weakness. Bush's weakness is his dependence on his faith. This is an approximation but after reading The Faith of George W. Bush (this is a book that you can look up on amazon.com if you want to) I found that Bush was a pistol before he finally settled down. When he settled down, he was close to 40 years old and the serenity and peace he found in his life was gained from his faith. He began to take God seriously and it's my understanding that he'd gather with people and discuss God and the Bible. I heard him in the 3rd debate and I know most of you did too. I have documented what he said during the debate in regards to faith on my page. He is greatly influenced by his Christianity and makes decisions according to his principles and not necessarily the people of America like he should. Consider abortion and gay marriage, these are things that his religion won't allow him to budge on. With Kerry, I believe he's considered the country's position on this issue and will make decisions based on what our nation wants. Government as stated in the Constitution needs to be by the people and for the people. I wouldn't want Kerry ruling with Catholic principles. I don't want Bush ruling with Christian principles. (And yes, I know Catholicism and Christianity are practically one and the same.) Ruling based on one set of principles endangers America into only doing things one certain way. Things aren't black and white in fact there is a large gray area to be dealt with.

Thank you for posting your perspective. I see what you are saying in regards to the minimum wage and I'll respect your economics major. I have more to say on the idea of faith in a president. But like I said, most of us agree on the separation of church and state but the details of how to separate them--- we usually tend to disagree on that aspect.
